All of our pointing lab pups will receive their first shots, be dewormed, have their dew claws removed, and come with a 2 year health guarantee which can be viewed by clicking here. We also try to introduce all the pointing lab pups to live birds which are usually quail or chuckar when they are available. If live birds aren't available we use pheasant wings. We have found that by introducing our pointing labs to live birds at a very young age it really helps build curiousity, drive, and birdiness early on. This also helps the pups get used to the smell and texture of birds. Along with bird introduction we start getting the pups accustomed to loud noises, and trying to get them as socialized as we can before they go to their new homes. Socialization is one of the most important parts of your pointing labs training from 5 weeks on up to about 12 weeks old. Now obviously you should continue to have your pointing lab out and around people and new things after this period but it is the most important from 5 to 12 weeks of age.
